(You may submit both or just one)

BOOKENDS
Looking for handmade bookends. You can make them yourself or submit special ones you’ve collected. These must be for sale.
BOOKS
Looking for lots of interesting books, calendars, catalogs, periodicals you’d like to exhibit or consign (these could just be lent for exhibition)—on topics loosely related to origins and endings, or works that touch on these themes in part (for instance, a poem or essay within a collection). I would love to have some handmade books and zines but this is not a requirement.
This can be very abstract. For example, a book on Paleolithic art could be considered a “beginning” (of art). Or a cool illustrated beginner’s guide to [...? ] Or a book about decay. These should be books you’re proud to share—ones you’d love to encounter and discuss with others. I’m looking for weird, special books that invite conversation. I’ll select many that fit within the broad theme so don’t overthink this, I need lots of books for this bookstore!

- Include 1–2 images and a brief description of your book.
- Include price or note as NFS (not for sale).
- Subject line: “bookend-BOOK & [Your Full Name]”
Example: “bookend-BOOK – Jen Smith”
For functional bookends:
- Email an image or sketch of the bookend with dimensions and materials.
- Include retail price.
- Subject line: “BOOKEND & [Your Full Name]”
Important Dates:
- Submission deadline: 11/2
- Delivery by: 11/23
- Opens: 12/6
- the shop will run this theme for a few months, all unsold items will need to be picked up afterwards (dates TBD but ill keep you all in the loop with plenty of time for pick-ups)
Everything that’s for sale will be a 30 /70 split.
There will be an opening and other events, as well as open hours on (some) sundays.
I’ll also set up some ecommerce if enough people are interested...
